Sustainability & Animal Welfare

Responsible Production Model

Maintaining minimal inventory levels helps to prevent overproduction, thereby reducing waste. By producing items in response to actual demand, we avoid excess production and the associated environmental impact.

Traditional inventory practices require large storage spaces, which require more energy for heating, cooling, and lighting. A just-in-time approach minimizes the need for extensive storage, reducing overall resource consumption and operational energy requirements.

With a lean inventory model, there is less reliance on excessive transportation and storage facilities, resulting in lower emissions associated with logistical processes and contributing to a reduced carbon footprint.

Premium Materials & Responsible Sourcing

Leather, textiles, and fur are noble materials that demand rigorous quality control at every stage—from responsible sourcing and treatment to careful selection, cutting, and finishing.

Our limited production ensures that each piece meets the highest standards of craftsmanship, durability, and refinement. This approach results in products designed for longevity, aligning with responsible consumption and long-term sustainability.

All leather used in our collections is sourced exclusively from suppliers certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG). This certification confirms that our partners meet strict environmental and ethical standards across water usage, energy consumption, waste management, chemical handling, and supply chain transparency.

By working with LWG-certified suppliers, we ensure that leather sourcing aligns with recognized environmental stewardship and responsible industry practices.

Certified Fur Standards

All mink fur used in our collections is sourced exclusively through internationally recognized auction houses, including Saga Furs® Certified and Kopenhagen Fur Certified suppliers.

These certification systems require farms to meet strict standards related to animal welfare, housing conditions, nutrition, veterinary supervision, and ongoing health monitoring.

Certified farms are subject to independent inspections and must comply with internationally established animal welfare protocols.

Our sourcing policy is based on transparency, traceability, and responsible material selection, ensuring that each fur piece originates from regulated and audited sources.

Craftsmanship & Heritage Production

Mulvanni is an artisanal luxury label requiring a hands-on production approach. Craftsmen devote time and attention to each piece, emphasizing quality over quantity.

We partner with a heritage workshop responsible for producing our first leather jacket and have established a female-owned workshop in Istanbul.

Supporting their savoir-faire in leather and shearling preserves traditional craftsmanship and maintains the heritage of leather production.

Traceability & Compliance

LWG, Saga Furs®, and Kopenhagen Fur-certified suppliers are required to demonstrate traceability throughout their supply chains.

This includes providing verifiable information regarding the origin of raw materials used in leather and fur production, ensuring transparency across every stage of the manufacturing process.

Through these certifications and sourcing standards, we aim to offer materials that embody durability, heritage craftsmanship, and accountable production—ensuring that every Mulvanni piece represents both quality and responsible luxury.

''Minimal/No Inventory" Policy

Mulvanni began as a bespoke, made-to-order brand and are to this day committed to minimal to no inventory. This "just in time" inventory system approach aligns with our brand values.

Mulvanni also requires that all raw materials of animal origin come from countries where there is an adequate level of control over the treatment and practices carried out on animal species. Suppliers are therefore required to provide details of the name and characteristics of the species supplied and above all the country of origin.

Animal Welfare Policy

Dedicated to the principles of social, environmental, and economic responsibility, Mulvanni places a profound emphasis on the ethical considerations inherent in its operations.

Recognizing the pivotal role of the supply chain in upholding the highest ethical standards and fostering sustainable development. the brand emphasizes the responsible procurement of animal-derived materials across all product categories.

By-Product Principle:

In the case of procurement of species listed in the CITES Appendices, Mulvanni requires its suppliers to carry out their activities in accordance with the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES). In addition to compliance with national and international Jaws and regulations, as well as standards and principles that help ensure fair treatment of animals, Mulvanni specifies certifications, standards and collaborations aimed at promoting animal welfare, by which suppliers from the industry are advised to be guided in the execution of their activities.
